Amelia's Compendium of Fashion Illustration

It's arrived!

Aah and t'is fabulous indeed.   It a visual extravaganza, showcasing the very best ethical fashion designers and up and coming Amelia's Magazine community of illustrators, of which I am a relatively recent and proud member.

It is also a guilt free purchase as it has been printed using vegetable based inks.  Amelia Gregory is strongly committed to the environment and ethical practice.

How can you deny yourself such gorgeousness?  Packed with fascinating interviews of both designers and illustrators, I defy you not to get hooked into Amelia's world.  Not only do I own the book but I also own a stunning Minna Hepburn (Finnish ethical fashion designer) lace blouse, which she even hand delivered to my house so I could wear it in time for my birthday!   Read her interview in ACOFI as well as Ada Zanditon who once lent me a box of vintage buttons for one of my student art projects and who I have seen develop into an amazing designer.

Go on then...click the link ACOFI and treat yourself to something very special.

Amelia's Compendium of Fashion Illustration

Start the new year with a FEAST FOR YOUR EYES, courtesy of Amelia's Compendium of Fashion Illustration.

Amelia's Compendium of Fashion Illustration

If you've been following my blog, you'll know that I've been illustrating for Amelia's Magazine for the last 2 months.  It has been an amazing opportunity to test my creativity and to fulfil my ambition of becoming an illustrator and brought a happy beginning to an end of what had been a pretty difficult year for me.  I can't express how grateful I am to Amelia Gregory for her work in putting together such a fantastic resource and to the equally lovely writers who also contribute to the magazine.

Get your order in by COB today, as the price goes up by £2 to £20 tomorrow. This is still an incredible bargain though, considering the opportunity to see so much burgeoning talent from illustrators and ethical fashion designers.  It is also fascinating and inspiring to read through the interviews and to track the careers of some of the illustrators who started out their careers by illustrating for Amelia's Magazine.

Follow the link to get a fabulous sneak peak of what you can expect to find in the book.

You can buy the book online through Amelia's Magazine where you get an exclusive extra treat of 6 free postcards, or at a number of outlets such as Tate Modern, Magma, Design Museum, Serpentine Gallery, Tatty Devine, Cornerhouse, Arnolfini and many other good independent book stores.

Practising what I preach, I've placed an order for copies of Amelia's Compendium of Fashion Illustration AND Amelia's Anthology of Illustration and can't wait to tuck in!

Happy New Year and happy new reading!
