Amelia's Magazine 25 March 2011

 27 February 1932 - 23 March 2011
Dame Elizabeth Taylor by Matilde Sazio
This illustration is part of a tribute to an incandescent beauty considered to be one of the greatest screen actresses of Hollywood's Golden Age but also remembered as a fearless activist despite the most astonishing illnesses, which she carried with such bravery and dignity.  What a life she had and what love she had to give.  With her passing we have the end of an era.

I'd like to think that in death she has been reunited with the man she couldn't live with or without, but always the love of her life, Richard Burton.  Reckon they have champagne in heaven cos I think I can hear the corks popping..?

RIP, no more pain to wrack your beautiful body.
